We headed to The Set Theatre for the opening night of Devious Theatre’s production of Can’t Pay, Won’t Pay on Wednesday last week. Another winner from Devious, who seem to be able to master any style of theatre at the moment. I vaguely remember seeing the play in The Abbey back in the seventies. At one stage a full sized car was driven on to the stage, complete with mobsters and machine guns. There wasn’t room for any such antics in The Set, but the ‘on again/off again’ saga of Dave Thompson’s moustache made up for that.
